SimSportsNet SMS Messaging Policy

This page explains how SimSportsNet (“we”, “our”, “us”) uses SMS text messaging, how users opt in, and how they can opt out. This information applies to text messages sent from our toll-free number +1 (833) 309-8087.

What is SimSportsNet?

SimSportsNet is an online platform for organizing, tracking, and managing competitive video game leagues and teams (for example NBA 2K Pro-Am and related modes). Players, captains, and league operators use SimSportsNet to manage rosters, schedules, and game results.

What types of messages do we send?

With your consent, we may send SMS messages that include:

• Team invites and roster updates
• Game or match reminders
• League announcements related to your teams
• Account-related alerts (for example, changes to your team membership)

We do not send promotional marketing messages unrelated to SimSportsNet without explicit consent.

How do users opt in to SMS messages?

Users opt in to receive SMS messages directly inside their SimSportsNet account.

The typical opt-in flow is:

1. The user logs in to their SimSportsNet account.
2. The user navigates to their account settings or notification settings.
3. The user enters their mobile phone number in the “Mobile (SMS)” field.
4. The user checks a consent box that states, for example:
   “I agree to receive SMS messages about team invites, roster changes, match reminders, and account notifications from SimSportsNet at this number. Message & data rates may apply.”
5. The user saves their settings. Only after this explicit opt-in is recorded do we send SMS messages to that number.

We do not send SMS messages to users who have not explicitly opted in through this workflow.

Message frequency

Message frequency will vary based on how many teams and leagues a user joins and which notifications they enable. Examples include:

• When a user receives a new team invite
• When a captain updates a roster the user belongs to
• When a match is scheduled or rescheduled

In general, users can expect a few messages per week depending on their activity, but this may increase for highly active teams and leagues.

Opt-out (STOP) instructions

Users can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any SimSportsNet text message, or
• Turning off SMS notifications in their SimSportsNet account settings and/or removing their phone number.

After opting out, the user will no longer receive SMS messages from SimSportsNet at that number, except for messages confirming their opt-out where required.
